Gigantic (20x10 w/15ft high ceilings) unfurnished room available in picturesque, pristine, cheerful top floor apartment w/furnished common areas in prime Park Slope (Berkeley Place, right off of 7th Ave.) with skyline views. A gem of a place. Looking for a quiet, considerate, clean, amicable, mature person with a stable income and normal work schedule. The place is perfect for a writer, teacher, or responsible professional who wants a spacious, serene, well-kept retreat from the city. I've been happier here than any place I've ever lived. Essentially, everything will be wonderful if you are quiet at night, tend to go to bed around 10:30 (or so) during the week, and courteous if coming home late on weekends, as I'm a very light sleeper. No house parties, but occasional weekend guests are fine.
More about the apartment: full kitchen, 1.5 bath (which is great for two people: you can have the half-bath all to yourself), short walk to the 2,3 (4,5 transfer) and Q, B express, landlord lives in the building, no cable TV presently (I don't watch TV), but if you want it, we’ll absolutely get it, 4th floor walk up (no feet noise overhead!), abundant natural light, 1.5 blocks to Prospect Park, laundry drop-off right next door, Slope Fitness right around the corner.
More about me: I'm friendly, accomodating, and respectful of others' personal space. MA in Creative Writing, author of dense fiction, poet, portrait artist, singer, health/fitness/beauty obsessive, recently-single (hence the need for a roommate) 32-year old. I'm a fun conversationalist and clever MST3K-er, in case we're ever stuck on the couch watching DVDs together during a snowstorm. About the lease: You can go month-to-month w/ 30 days notice, but longer-term is preferred. Your share of the utilities, including the cable Internet, is low: usually under $60. During the summer, this doubles, but only for 3 months or so. If interested, please respond with your age, line of employment, work and normal sleep hours, phone number, and maybe your three favorite bands. Or you may call me at 917-538-2518. Thanks! Stacy |
